We are working in partnership with a well-regarded education provider in Kendal to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Agriculture Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a specialist looking for either full-time or part-time work within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. About the Role:
- You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in Agriculture or Land-Based Studies, helping students develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to the sector.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Agriculture and related subjects
- Teaching topics such as crop production, animal care, sustainability, and land management
- Supporting students in both classroom-based and practical learning environments
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting learners with varying abilities, including those requiring additional support
- Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching/training qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd)
- A background in Agriculture, Farming, Land-Based Studies, or a related field
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the agricultural industry
- Experience teaching in a secondary school, college, or vocational setting (preferred but not essential)
- Industry experience within agriculture or rural sectors (highly desirable)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching and learning
