We are recruiting for a dedicated Music Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Chorley.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5 depending on experience). You will encourage creativity, performance, and a love of music, supporting students of varying abilities to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach practical and theoretical elements of Music
- Support students' musical development through performance, composition, and listening
- Assess, track, and report on student progress
- Contribute positively to the wider school community and department
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching Music at secondary level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Passionate about Music education and student development
- Able to commit to a full-time, long-term role
