Overview
We are currently recruiting for two experienced and enthusiastic English Teachers to join a highly regarded secondary school in the Haslingden (Rossendale) area. Both positions are full-time, long-term maternity covers starting in January 2026, running for the full academic year.

Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- Plan and deliver well-structured, differentiated lessons to suit the needs of all learners.
- Mark and assess student work in line with school policies.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes achievement and progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
The ideal candidate will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
- Have proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
- Be passionate about English education and dedicated to student success.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative teaching team.
