Science Teacher in Chorley

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a fantastic secondary school in Chorley on a long-term cover basis. This is a full-time role, 5 days a week, offering an excellent opportunity to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 and contribute to their learning in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or experience in teaching and cover work
• Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (or confident delivering lessons across these levels)
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
• Flexible and adaptable approach to meet students\\\’ needs

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons
• Support pupils\\\’ learning and progress across all abilities
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and resources
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and motivation in the classroom
• Participate in departmental and whole-school activities
