About the Role
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons, helping students develop their confidence, literacy skills and love of the subject. You will be expected to:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
- Encourage students to develop their reading, writing and communication skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and effort.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider school community.
- Build strong, professional relationships with students, staff and parents/carers where appropriate.
- Follow school policies and contribute to a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment.
