The Role:
- Looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to manage and grow key accounts while identifying new business opportunities across the UK and Europe.
- This is a dynamic role combining account management and business development, suited to someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to customer engagement.
- Manage and develop relationships with key national accounts.
- Identify and win new business opportunities within target markets.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements.
- Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry exhibitions across the UK & EU.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing movements.
- Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, operations) to ensure smooth delivery.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting – SAGE 200.
- Regular travel across the UK & Europe (customers, exhibitions).
- Occasional visits to suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centres.
Requirements:
- 5–7 years’ experience in Sales/ chemical B2B sales (raw materials).
- Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive and proactive approach.
- Proven ability to develop sales strategies and drive revenue growth.
- Experience managing and mentoring team members.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Industry knowledge.
- Training in REACH, ISO, or similar – desirable.
