The Company:
Our client is a valve and instrumentation supply company, offering a wide range of products for both standard and specialist industrial applications.
The Role:
* Promote the company with customers in person and online UK wide
* Work to promote the company as a control valve supplier and increase enquiries significantly over the first year
* Introduce the company’s range of represented and manufactured products to customers
* Apply knowledge of flow equipment range to develop appropriate solutions
* Find opportunities for bespoke designs to meet customers’ requirements
* Generate quotes and proposals to assist the quotes department
* Maintain contact with customers after proposals have been made in order to ensure that the contract is won
* Analyse market data and come up with sales strategies within the UK and abroad
* Develop marketing campaigns
* Act as an influential and integral part of the team, proposing changes to improve customer approaches and internal systems
* Provide input for consideration in pricing decisions, technical information and customer characteristics for sales strategies
Requirements:
* Technical Sales and Sales Engineering skills (preferably in pressure, temperature, level instruments and valves)
* Formal Engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Production)
* Knowledge of industrial applications and market sectors
* Ability to understand and explain technical concepts
* Self-motivated and goal-oriented
* Ability to work within a close-knit team
* Produce measurable results in sales
* UK Driving licence
* Experience with selling into varied markets/industries
* Good inter-personal skills and results-oriented
* Experience in providing technical support
* Margin conscious sales approach
* Dependable with customers
* Share information with other sales colleagues internally, a good team player
* Proficiency in PC, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel & Word essential
* Some understanding of Business CRM systems
* Suitable combination of technical qualifications, sales training and industry experience
