Overview
Position: Large Format Print Finisher / Mounter / Laminator Location: Essex Salary: £30k - 40K (Neg.) + Overtime Shift: Days (Monday - Friday)
The company is a Large Format print & signage provider serving Retail, Exhibitions, Indoor/Outdoor Events, Hotels, and Museums.
Responsibilities
- Laminating: Operate roller laminators and other laminating equipment to apply protective films and laminates to large format prints, graphics, and signage with precision and consistency.
- Mounting: Mount large format prints and vinyl graphics to substrates including foamex, dibond, acrylic, foam board, and others; perform wrapped edge mounting and high-quality application techniques.
- Comprehensive
Finishing: Carry out all areas of large format print finishing including precision cutting, trimming, weeding vinyl, guillotining, routing, and hand-finishing as required.
- Banner & Signage
Production: Produce finished banners (taped hems, eyelets), exhibition graphics, window graphics, POS displays, and other signage products to client specifications.
- Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks at every stage to ensure colour accuracy, finish quality, alignment, and that every item meets company and client standards.
- Dispatch Preparation: Carefully pack and prepare finished products for dispatch or installation, ensuring they are protected and presented professionally.
- Workshop & Equipment: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of finishing equipment (laminators, cutters, etc.).
- Team
Support: Work collaboratively with the production team, assist with material handling, stock management, and general workshop duties to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience in large format print finishing with specific expertise in laminating (roller laminators) and mounting techniques.
- Strong experience across all areas of large format print finishing and production.
- Skilled in working with a variety of materials and substrates: vinyl, foamex, dibond, acrylic, banner media, and signage materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine pride in producing high-quality finished work.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and consistently meet tight production deadlines.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling of large format materials and equipment.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with good communication skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
