The Company: The client develops and manufactures linear and angle encoders, rotary encoders, digital readouts, and CNC controls.
The
Role
- Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for developing new business in an area broadly covering the Midlands, North of England and Scotland, working from home and a regional office.
- The primary focus of the role will be to identify new potential OEM customers for the group encoder products from heavy duty encoders & linear & torque motors & motion systems.
- Secondary role will include maintenance of existing customer base and technical sales of the group brand encoders.
- Identification of potential new OEMs, End users and sales channels for group products
- Development of new OEM customers liaising with design departments and procurement etc.
- Development of existing OEMs (new products/new applications)
- Maintenance of CRM, market analysis and regular reporting (minimum quarterly)
- Attending Sales meetings at Head office in the South East and trainings within Europe group and parent companies.
Requirements
- The successful candidate will have a proven record of proactively selling similar products into the oil & gas, subsea, steel mills, mining or Energy industries.
- They should reside in the designated sales area within commuting distance of the regional office in Sheffield.
- You will be educated to a minimum HNC Electronics, Mechanical or Controls Engineering.
- You will have a consultative approach to selling and must be a strong relationship builder as well as being self-motivated and PC literate with Microsoft packages
