More2Life, part of Key Group, has been a pioneering force in the equity release market since 2008. From our Preston office, we support thousands of customers each month in releasing equity from their homes, making us one of the UKâs largest lifetime mortgage lenders.
We are now looking for a Solicitor with strong residential conveyancing expertise to join our Property Legal Team and support our lending processes. This role focuses on property, title and conveyancing expertise, so youâll advise on complex title matters, address escalations, ensure strong legal security for the lender, and support our lending teams with propertyârelated legal risks. This role is ideal for a solicitor who enjoys technical conveyancing work, problemâsolving, and supporting operational teams with clear legal guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Property & Conveyancing
- Provide legal advice on complex residential property matters.
- Review and interpret nonâstandard or highârisk titles (restrictive covenants, easements, leasehold issues, unregistered land, trusts, shared ownership, overage etc.).
- Resolve title defects impacting lender security or customer outcomes.
- Support Land Registry requirements, discharges and postâcompletion matters.
- Lending Support
- Advise on title acceptability for lifetime mortgages.
- Support escalations from conveyancers and paralegals.
- Provide legal opinions outside standard templates.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure conveyancing work aligns with FCA, Consumer Duty and Equity Release Council standards.
- Contribute to legal risk assessments, audits and improvements to legal processes.
- Knowledge Sharing
- Provide informal training on title interpretation and conveyancing risks.
- Support development of junior legal staff.
- Essential
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales).
- Strong residential conveyancing experience.
- Ability to interpret complex titles and assess legal risk.
- Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a regulated, fastâpaced environment.
- Desirable
- Experience in equity release or mortgage lending.
- Understanding of Consumer Duty and relevant regulatory expectations.
- Experience improving conveyancing processes.
