We are recruiting for Thermal Sprayers. This is a full-time temporary to permanent employed position (PAYE only).
Shifts: Monday to Friday 45-Hours Per Week (overtime available at weekends). Start Time: 07:00 / 07:30am.
Basic Annual Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 (depending on TSA experience and training). Equivalent Hourly Pay Rate: £13.00 to £17.00 (depending on TSA experience and training).
Overview: You will be working in a workshop, yard, and confined space environments based in the Southampton area, for a 12-week probation period through the agency. Your main duty will cover Thermally Sprayed Aluminium, but you will assist with other industrial spray paint work as and when required, to ensure the company completes its projects on time. Once you have successfully completed your probation period you will become a permanent employee payroll directly by the client.
Core Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Cleaning and roughening parts (often using grit blasting with aluminium oxide) to ensure proper coating adhesion.
- Application & Operation: Setting up and operating thermal spray machinery (HVOF, Plasma, ARC, Wire, Flame) in accordance with technical specifications and blueprints.
- Quality Control: Monitoring the spray process to ensure consistency, measuring coating thickness, and inspecting components post-coating for defects.
- Machine Maintenance: Performing routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on, or troubleshooting, spray guns, feeders, and robotic systems.
- Documentation: Recording production data, material usage, and inspection results to maintain traceability standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations (EHS), including the use of PPE, handling hazardous materials, and managing fumes in a spray booth environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Have current or recent experience in TSA.
- Eligible to work a full-time permanent job in the UK.
- Complete an online registration form and complete all right to work checks.
- Able to attend face-to-face interview.
- Payroll through the agency as a PAYE employee (no CIS, Limited Company or Self-Employed payroll is available).
- Work the core 45-hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Live in the Southampton area for work commute requirements.
