Our client is looking for a motivated and meticulous Architectural Technologist or technical/project Architect to join their creative team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid track record in architectural design, construction technology, and technical delivery.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing technical drawings, specifications using NBS Chorus, and producing comprehensive project documentation across a variety of schemes.
Main Responsibilities:- Produce detailed construction packages, technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models (primarily using Revit).
- Ensure all designs adhere to current building regulations, codes of practice, and health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal team members, consultants, contractors, and clients to deliver projects from early concept through to completion.
- Support the construction phase by responding to site queries and preparing progress reports.
- Coordinate with external consultants and suppliers within a BIM environment, integrating structural, MEP systems using clash detection tools.
- Oversee and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Propose practical and innovative solutions to technical or design issues as they arise.
- Stay informed about new materials, technologies, and industry developments.
- Degree-qualified in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar architectural role.
- Skilled in Revit; experience with AutoCAD and other CAD tools is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- In-depth understanding of UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements.
- Excellent drafting, detailing, and documentation abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- CIAT membership (or working toward it) is desirable but not required.
- Primarily office-based role, 5 days per week—designed to support collaborative design development and enhance professional growth.
- Hybrid work options available by arrangement with the director or project leaders.
- Flexible hours: choose between 7:30am–4:00pm or 9:30am–6:00pm (core hours 9:00am–4:00pm).
- 21 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
- Additional paid closure during Christmas (up to 4 days).
- Option to purchase extra holiday (at the discretion of the board).
- Continuous training, CPD sessions, and weekly design/industry workshops.
