An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant to join a busy and well-established Property team. Supporting Fee Earners across Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Property, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department while delivering a high standard of administrative and client support.

This is a varied position suited to an organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment and takes pride in providing exceptional service to both clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Fee Earners within the Property Department.
  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence and reports with a high level of accuracy.
  • Manage diaries, appointments and client communications.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, solicitors, estate agents and other third parties.
  • Open, maintain and close client files, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and legal standards.
  • Assist with file management in a paperless environment.
  • Handle telephone enquiries, incoming post and general office administration.
  • Support the team in meeting deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience working within a Residential Conveyancing or Property Department.
  • Experience working in a solicitor's practice.
  • Excellent administrative, secretarial and IT skills.
  • Confidence working within a paperless case management environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional and client-focused approach.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
