We are seeking a detail-focused and proactive Draughtsperson / Document Controller to join a busy Engineering team within a high-tech manufacturing environment. This role combines technical drawing support with responsibility for engineering documentation and product data management. You will play a key part in ensuring engineering data is accurate, well-maintained, and fully compliant with internal procedures and quality standards.
The business operates in the design and manufacture of advanced power conversion products used across sectors such as data centres, transport, energy storage, and automation.
Hours & Benefits
- 38 hours per week (early finish on Fridays)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain engineering product data and documentation
- Support engineering change processes and product updates
- Create and update drawings, parts lists, and work instructions
- Ensure correct document control in line with ISO 9001 standards
- Maintain version control, storage, and retrieval of technical files
- Support Product Data Management systems and users
- Assist with mechanical design office and testing support when required
Experience required
- Experience in a similar engineering / document control role
- Strong attention to detail and organised working style
- Confident using CAD systems (e.g. SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office
- Operational experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) / Product Data Management (PDM) systems
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- CAD / MechCAD applications such as SolidWorks
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and ISO 9001 standards
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
