An excellent opportunity for a detail-focused Architectural Technician / Technologist to join a specialist technical design team within a modular and off-site construction environment. The role involves supporting the development of innovative building and housing systems from initial concept through to production, producing accurate technical drawings and design information, and contributing to sustainable, high-quality construction solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design development of modular building and housing systems
- Produce sketches, concept drawings, and detailed technical designs
- Develop designs from concept through to production-ready output
- Prepare and review technical drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and suppliers
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and senior management
- Undertake site visits and support market research activities
- Contribute to innovative off-site construction solutions
- Apply problem-solving skills to design and technical challenges
- Support project delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Architectural Technician / Technologist
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit etc)
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and detailing
- Methodical and structured approach to design work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable
- Interest in modular/off-site construction methods
- Strong attention to detail and design quality
- Full UK driving licence
Qualifications
- HND / Foundation Degree / Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction, or related field
