We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Grain Operative to join our team in Perthshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day grain handling operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are maintained throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling, moving, and storing grain in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operating machinery and equipment (e.g. conveyors, dryers, telehandlers, forklift if licensed)
  • Loading and unloading lorries
  • Monitoring grain quality, moisture levels, and storage conditions
  • Carrying out routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Assisting with general yard and warehouse duties
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an agricultural, grain handling, or warehouse role preferred
  • Forklift licence preferred but not essential (training may be provided)
  • Must have own transport due to rural location
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good level of physical fitness (role involves manual handling)
  • Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
