Key Legal Conveyancing is an innovative and modern conveyancing firm located on the local High Street, offering a fresh and accessible approach to residential property transactions. The firm focuses on simplifying the conveyancing process for clients while maintaining high professional and ethical standards. Team members work with contemporary tools and efficient processes to deliver clear, timely, and client-focused legal services. This is a full-time, on-site Residential Conveyancer role based in Darlington. The Residential Conveyancer will manage a caseload of residential property matters from instruction to completion, including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity. Daily tasks include:

  • Taking client instructions
  • Conducting title checks
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Raising and responding to enquiries
  • Managing searches and reports on title

The role involves liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other legal representatives to progress transactions efficiently and proactively. The Residential Conveyancer will also ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, maintain accurate file records, and contribute to a positive client experience through clear communication and timely updates.

Qualifications

  • Strong grounding in Law and demonstrable experience in Residential Conveyancing or a closely related legal field.
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting contracts, reports on title, and standard conveyancing correspondence.
  • Experience in Legal Consulting and advising clients on conveyancing processes, potential risks, and appropriate legal options.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve Legal Issues that arise during residential property transactions.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Relevant legal qualification (e.g., Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or equivalent experience in a conveyancing role).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Comfort using case management systems and standard office software to maintain accurate, up-to-date files.
  • Commitment to client service, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
