Location: Northern England with occasional travel to South Yorkshire and Midlands

Contract Type: 40-hours per week plus overtime

Job Objectives

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out minor installation work, including replacing fixtures, installing small sections of pipework, and supporting minor works in relation to plant room upgrades.
  • Perform routine maintenance on commercial plumbing systems, including pipework, fixtures, and drainage systems.
  • Work will involve travel between multiple sites.
  • Diagnose and repair faults such as leaks, blockages, and pressure issues.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure systems comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Liaise with clients, site managers, and other trades where required.
  • Follow safety procedures and always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Occasional out-of-hours or emergency call-outs may be required.

Qualifications Requirements

  • Proven experience as a commercial plumber or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to perform minor installation work independently.
  • Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (Essential).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience working in commercial environments such as industrial sites.
  • Basic knowledge of heating systems or HVAC (advantageous).
  • Health & Safety certifications (e.g., CSCS card).
  • Ability to obtain SC Clearance.
  • NVQ level 2 in plumbing and mechanical services, or C&G/HNC (building services) or equivalent.
  • G3 in vented and unvented systems.
  • IPAF & PASMA.
  • IT literate and able to complete task sheets.
  • Clear communicator both oral and written.
