Key Health is looking for committed Support Workers that can work 2-5 shifts a week, every week. Regular day and night shifts will be based in Kirkby Lonsdale. You will be offered support with mileage too and from the service but must live within 1 hour\’s drive.

The Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Kirkby Lonsdale. This role involves providing individualized support to people with learning disabilities living in their own homes, promoting their independence and participation in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain warm, trusting relationships with service users, promoting their self-esteem, happiness, and emotional health.
- Respect the rights and dignity of service users, ensuring their privacy and supporting them in expressing their needs and participating in decision-making processes.
- Enable service users to become independent and confident in areas such as social skills, personal care, daily living skills, and community involvement.
- Support service users who express frustrations through challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies.
- Ensure service users receive necessary health checks and promote healthy lifestyles.
- Monitor and evaluate individual protocols for people with complex needs.
- Assist service users in accessing social, leisure, work, and educational opportunities.
- Administer and monitor prescribed medication in accordance with the Medication Policy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Driving license and access to a car (Manual License) – Essential
- Experience working with Epilepsy
- Previous UK support work experience
