Social, Emotional & Behavioural Support Practitioner (SEN)\\n\\nLocation: Surrey\\nContract: Permanent\\nHours: 40 hours per week, Term Time Only\\n\\nWorking Pattern:\\n08:15 start daily\\nFinish times: Mon–Wed 16:45 | Thu 17:00 | Fri 16:00\\n\\nSalary: £30,000 – £32,500 per annum (depending on qualifications)\\n\\nAbout the Role\\n\\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, values-led specialist education provider with an outstanding reputation for staff support, development and wellbeing. As a Social, Emotional & Behavioural Support Practitioner (SEN), you will play a vital role in helping young people aged 11–16 with Autism and associated needs to thrive socially, emotionally and academically within a nurturing, well-resourced setting.\\n\\nYou will work closely with a highly supportive pastoral and SEND team to deliver structured interventions that promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour and full access to learning.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * \\n\\n Deliver 1:1, small group and class-based emotional and behavioural support sessions\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support emotional regulation, behaviour management and engagement with learning\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assist with assessments and maintain accurate progress data\\n\\n * \\n\\n Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and families\\n\\n * \\n\\n Provide play- and arts-based therapeutic learning experiences\\n\\n * \\n\\n Promote inclusive practice across the school\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support staff working with pupils’ emotional and behavioural needs\\n\\n * \\n\\n Contribute to Annual Reviews and pastoral planning\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support training and embedding of emotional wellbeing strategies\\n\\nEssential Requirements\\n\\n * \\n\\n GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience supporting children or young people with SEN\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection\\n\\n * \\n\\n Knowledge of social, emotional and behavioural development\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience managing challenging behaviour\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ability to work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team\\n\\nDesirable\\n\\n * \\n\\n Practitioner-level training in therapeutic or behavioural support (or willingness to train)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Team Teach or similar behaviour support training\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience running nurture or social skills groups\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SLD or PMLD\\n\\nWhat’s on Offer\\n\\n * \\n\\n Pension and life assurance\\n\\n * \\n\\n 24/7 GP access for you and your household\\n\\n * \\n\\n Health cash plan (dental, optical, etc.)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Employee Assistance Programme\\n\\n * \\n\\n Cycle to Work and Car Scheme\\n\\n * \\n\\n £1,000 Refer-a-Friend bonus\\n\\nSafeguarding\\n\\nAll applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and relevant pre-employment checks.
