Salary: £22,000 – £24,100

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, Term-Time Only)

Key Health is recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced school supporting children and young people aged 6–19 with a wide range of additional needs. The provision supports learners with MLD, SLD, autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, sensory or physical impairments and complex medical needs. The school offers exceptional facilities, therapeutic support on-site and a nurturing, highly specialised learning environment.

Role Overview

You will support students in their day-to-day learning across a variety of environments including the classroom, outdoor learning spaces and community settings. The role includes working with young people with PMLD, autism, complex medical needs and other associated conditions. Your focus will be on enabling students to develop confidence, independence and key life skills while promoting an inclusive, supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students’ learning, development and progress across the curriculum
  • Assist with personalised programmes for students with complex needs
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and respectful learning environment
  • Encourage independence, communication and engagement
  • Provide high-quality support within lessons, structured activities and community learning
  • Support personal care and physical intervention where required
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
