SEN Teaching Assistant – Meldreth Manor & Orchard Manor 📍 Location: Meldreth, North Royston 💰 Salary: £12.37-13.49 P/H 🕒 Contract: Full-time / Part-time available 📅 Start Date: ASAP About Us Join a leading residential care provider supporting children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. About the Role We are looking for compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team in Meldreth, North Royston. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by providing high-quality care and support to children and young people both in residential care homes and in the community. You will play a key role in their daily lives, supporting personal care needs, day-to-day activities, and helping them develop life skills. Key Responsibilities * Be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development and progress in all areas of the curriculum within a range of learning contexts including the classroom, the local environment and within the community * Help young people with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions and autism to achieve their educational and personal goals * Support an environment that fosters equality, diversity and the rights of all young people to be seen as learners and be treated with respect * Place an emphasis on support and empowerment of young people * Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues; the values of Aurora and demonstrate these in all aspects of the role * Provide high quality support in all aspects of the role * The role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care routines What We’re Looking For * Compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others. * Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to individuals’ needs (including non-verbal communication). * Team player who is reliable, adaptable, and resilient. * No formal qualifications required – full training will be provided. * Experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential. * Must be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
