Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team on a temporary/agency basis to provide high-quality care in a care home setting. You will work flexibly across shifts, ensuring residents receive exceptional nursing care while promoting dignity, respect, and independence. Key Responsibilities * Deliver High-Quality Care: Provide person-centered nursing care to elderly residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. * Administer Medication and Treatments: Follow best practice and NMC guidelines for safe medication administration and nursing interventions. * Monitor and Assess Residents: Conduct regular assessments, update care plans, and respond to changes in residents’ conditions promptly. * Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work effectively with care staff, families, GPs, and external professionals to ensure continuity of care. * Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care provided, medication administered, and incidents in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. * Safeguarding and Safety: Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure a safe environment for all residents and staff. * Mentor and Support Staff: Provide guidance and support to care assistants and new team members as required. Essential Requirements * Qualifications: * Active NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult). * Experience: * Previous experience working in a care home, nursing home, or similar setting is preferred. * Experience with elderly or dementia care is highly desirable. * Skills & Attributes: * Compassionate, patient-centered approach. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and nights if required.
