An expanding specialist education provider is seeking a passionate and resilient SEND Teacher (Autism / SEMH) to join a newly established secondary school supporting pupils aged 11–16. This role focuses on delivering a nurture-based, structured and personalised learning approach for young people with:
- Autism (ASC)
- Social communication needs
- Emotional regulation challenges & Sensory processing differences
You will play a key role in creating a safe, consistent and engaging learning environment where students can thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching tailored to individual needs
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the national curriculum
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
- Set, monitor and review individual targets and EHCP outcomes
- Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff and leadership teams
- Monitor progress and provide clear reporting to stakeholders. Contribute to EHCP reviews, PEPs and LAC meeting.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with:
- Autism (ASC)
- SEND / SEMH needs
Desirable:
- Additional SEND qualifications
- Experience in specialist or alternative provision settings
- Knowledge of co-occurring needs (e.g. ADHD, trauma, sensory needs)
