Female Support Worker – Learning Disabilities & Physical Disabilities\\n\\nLocation: Swinton (M27)\\nHours: Shifts available 7 days a week between 07:00–22:30 (sleep-ins included)\\nSalary: £12.60 per hour (Point 1)\\nPositions Available: 2\\nStart Date: ASAP\\nGender Requirement: Female only (occupational requirement)\\n\\nAbout the Role\\n\\nWe are recruiting Female Support Workers to join a service in the Swinton area supporting adults with complex learning disabilities and physical health support needs. You will be part of a warm, values-driven team delivering flexible, person-centred support to people living in their own tenancies.\\n\\nYour work will focus on promoting independence, dignity, emotional wellbeing and inclusion within the community. This is a busy, active service – ideal for someone energetic, compassionate and resilient.\\n\\nMuch of the role reflects the responsibilities listed in the job description on pages 2–4, including developing warm relationships, promoting wellbeing, supporting daily living skills, and enabling community participation.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * \\n\\n Provide respectful personal care, emotional support and practical assistance\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support people with moving and handling, mobility needs and complex physical support\\n\\n * \\n\\n Enable individuals to maintain safe, hygienic, comfortable homes\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support service users to develop social skills, daily living skills and independence\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assist individuals to participate confidently in the local community\\n\\n * \\n\\n Work positively with behaviours that challenge using agreed strategies\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ensure dignity, privacy and choice at all times\\n\\n * \\n\\n Collaborate with families, colleagues and external professionals\\n\\n * \\n\\n Follow person-centred support plans and respond flexibly to changing needs\\n\\n * \\n\\n Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and support planning\\n\\n * \\n\\n Work flexibly, including weekends and sleep-ins\\n\\n * \\n\\n Provide positive role modelling and uphold professional values\\n\\nEssential Requirements\\n\\n * \\n\\n Female applicants only (due to service-user needs)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities (as required in the person spec, p.6)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Training in Dysphagia, Epilepsy, Moving & Handling, Personal Care\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ability to work a busy, active role requiring time on your feet\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ability to work independently and as part of a consistent team\\n\\n * \\n\\n Emotional resilience and a calm response to complex needs\\n\\n * \\n\\n Commitment to person-centred values, dignity and safeguarding\\n\\nDesirable\\n\\n * \\n\\n NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience with complex behaviours\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ability to support people with mobility aids\\n\\nApply Today\\n\\nIf you are warm, resilient and passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities and physical health needs to live fulfilling lives, we would love to hear from you.\\n\\nApply now for an immediate interview
