Location: Leyland, Lancashire 🕒 Contract: 12-week temporary (via agency), with the potential for permanent employment 💰 Salary: £23,600 📅 Start Date: Immediate About the Role We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Project Worker/Support Worker to join our team and provide tailored support to a young adult based in Leyland. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a young person’s life by providing consistent emotional, practical, and developmental support. The position will begin as a 12-week temporary contract through an agency with the view to a permanent role for the right person. Key Responsibilities * Provide 1:1 support to a young adult, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and work toward independence. * Offer emotional and practical assistance in areas such as budgeting, housing, education, and wellbeing. * Act as an advocate, liaising with families, social workers, and partner agencies. * Maintain accurate records, care plans, and safeguarding documentation. * Deliver support in a flexible and person-centred way, adapting to the young adult’s evolving needs. About You We are looking for someone who is: * Passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential. * Experienced in working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in social care, youth work, or support services. * Knowledgeable about safeguarding practices, mental health support, and independent living skills. * A strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills. * Organised, proactive, and adaptable to changing situations. Essential Requirements * Previous experience in a Support Worker, Project Worker, Youth Worker, or similar role. * Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). * Driver’s licence (preferred but not essential). * Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, if required.
