Are you an experienced leader within children’s residential care looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The Role

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are consistently maintained. You will lead and develop a stable staff team while creating a nurturing and structured environment that promotes positive outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of the residential home
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations
  • Lead safeguarding practices and promote child welfare
  • Manage and develop staff performance, supervision and training
  • Maintain high standards of care planning, risk management and documentation
  • Build positive relationships with young people, families and external professionals
  • Manage rotas, staffing levels and operational performance
  • Drive positive outcomes for children and maintain a therapeutic culture within the home
  • Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Previous experience within children’s residential care
  • Experience supporting children with EBD, trauma or challenging behaviours
  • Strong safeguarding and leadership knowledge
  • Good understanding of Ofsted regulations and compliance
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Previous Registered Manager or Deputy Manager experience
  • Experience within therapeutic or trauma-informed environments
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management and attachment-informed practice
