About the Role
We are recruiting experienced Support Workers to join a supported living service in Rawtenstall, supporting adults with mental health needs, self-harm risks and challenging behaviours. You’ll be working as part of a committed team providing high-quality, person-centred support that promotes safety, stability and positive outcomes.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supporting individuals with mental health needs in a supported living environment
- Promoting independence, emotional wellbeing and coping strategies
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours appropriately
- Providing practical and emotional support, and maintaining professional boundaries
- Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding requirements
- Working collaboratively with the wider care and clinical team
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience:
- Mental health support
- Supported living
- Experience with self-harm
- Experience managing challenging behaviours
Person Specification:
- Flexible and available throughout the week
- Mainly day shifts (08:00–20:00), with opportunities for 1–2 night staff (20:00–08:00)
- Strong character with excellent boundary setting
- Reliable, resilient and calm under pressure
- Willing to complete a temp-to-perm agreement
- Driving licence preferred but not essential
