An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs. This role offers full operational leadership and the platform to build a high-performing service, strengthen care standards, and deliver positive long-term impact for young people.

The Role

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the home
  • Lead and develop a motivated, high-quality staff team
  • Create a structured, safe and nurturing care environment
  • Embed high standards of consistency, accountability and child-centred care

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with all Ofsted requirements, regulations and standards
  • Take ownership of safeguarding, risk assessments and incident management
  • Ensure care planning and documentation are accurate, current and high quality
  • Prepare for inspections and drive ongoing improvements across the service

Leadership & Operations

  • Manage recruitment activity, staffing levels and workforce planning
  • Carry out regular supervisions, appraisals and development support
  • Oversee financial performance, budgets and occupancy targets
  • Partner with senior leadership to support wider service development

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Local Authorities, Ofsted and professionals
  • Represent the home with professionalism and integrity
  • Maintain open, effective communication with families and external stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working as a Registered Manager in a children’s home
  • Detailed understanding of Ofsted frameworks and regulatory compliance
  • Background supporting children and young people with SEMH or complex behaviours
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management, or progress towards it
  • A proactive and capable leader who can improve service delivery and outcomes
