ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a motivated and commercially driven Sales Manager with proven success in one or more of the following areas:
- Biomedical engineering services (PPM, repairs, comprehensive contracts, field service support)
- Biomedical test equipment (e.g., safety analysers, electrical testers, capital test systems)
- Medical device sales, ideally in Urology, ENT, or Ophthalmology
While we understand that very few candidates will have experience in all these domains, the ideal candidate will bring strong sales capability, industry relationships, and a proactive approach to developing new business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development
- Drive revenue growth across service contracts, biomedical test equipment, and clinical devices
- Identify and develop new opportunities within NHS Trusts, private hospitals, clinics, and OEM partners
- Deliver compelling proposals and commercial presentations to clinical, EBME, procurement, and operational teams
- Expand our footprint in key specialities: Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and diagnostic services
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to close
Account Management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and industry stakeholders
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, renewals, and upsell opportunities
- Collaborate with the UK Operations Manager to align sales activities with service delivery
Market & Product Strategy
- Provide commercial insights to support pricing, product development, and market positioning
- Attend industry exhibitions, EBME events, and manufacturer training sessions
- Maintain expert knowledge of product lines and competitor offerings
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and senior leadership teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
- Support marketing campaigns and contribute to sales forecasting and planning
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Experience
- Proven sales success in the medical devices or biomedical engineering sector
- Experience selling maintenance contracts, field engineering services, or test equipment highly beneficial
- Existing relationships with NHS EBME departments, procurement teams, or private hospital groups
- Experience in Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, or diagnostic imaging equipment is a strong advantage
Skills
- Strong technical understanding of medical devices and biomedical workflows (training provided where needed)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a full sales cycle autonomously
- Commercial mindset with a structured, data‑driven approach to pipeline management
