At KEY ESG, we’re transforming ESG reporting with a product that has already achieved product-market fit, a strong customer base, and impressively high NRR. As we prepare to scale both our team and revenue, we’re seeking a Product Designer with proven startup experience who can shape and scale our design function while driving strategic product growth.

As our Product Designer, you will be joining a company at a pivotal stage—where your work will directly influence the evolution of our product design processes and contribute to overall revenue growth. We’re looking for someone who has not only excelled in a scaling startup environment but has been an integral part of that journey. At KEY ESG, you’ll blend UX research, competitive analysis, and strategic design thinking to build a robust, scalable design framework that propels our next phase of success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Strategic UX Research & Testing: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation. Design and execute usability tests, interviews, and surveys to generate actionable insights that inform design decisions.
  • Perform Competitive & Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to position KEY ESG as a leader in ESG reporting. Utilize market insights to create differentiated design solutions that enhance user engagement.
  • Establish Scalable Design Processes: Define, implement, and refine design processes and frameworks that support rapid scaling of our product and team. Develop guidelines and best practices to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience as we grow.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and key stakeholders to align design with business objectives and user needs. Contribute to product strategy discussions, ensuring that design choices directly drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Design & Prototyping: Develop clear, effective wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that articulate innovative design concepts. Iterate quickly in response to feedback, balancing creative vision with technical feasibility.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience & Expertise: Proven track record as a Product or UX Designer (4+ years of experience) within a startup that successfully scaled—demonstrable experience being part of the scaling process is essential. Strong expertise in UX research, user testing, and competitive analysis. Hands-on experience in establishing design processes that have supported rapid team growth and increased revenue. Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Suite). A portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes, from research and ideation through to implementation and iteration.
  • Mindset & Attributes: A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to shifting priorities during rapid growth. A proactive, strategic thinker who is passionate about creating impactful user experiences and driving business success. An individual who is excited by the opportunity to build processes from the ground up and shape the future of ESG reporting.

Why Join KEY ESG?

  • High Impact & Ownership: Take a central role in scaling a product that’s already making waves in the ESG space. Build and refine the design processes that will drive our next phase of growth and revenue.
  • Growth & Learning: Thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment that encourages continuous learning and innovative problem-solving. Work alongside a passionate team dedicated to transforming ESG reporting and creating real-world impact.
  • Mission-Driven Culture: Align your career with a mission to empower businesses through superior ESG reporting solutions. Enjoy a collaborative, inclusive work environment where your contributions directly shape our success.
  • Great Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary at or above industry average: £60,000 - £80,000 depending on experience and expertise. MacBook Pro (or equivalent for anyone who prefers other equipment). Strong hybrid culture with UK off-sites twice a year and ongoing 1x a month in-person meetings. Opportunity to get in at the start and have impact on People & Planet from day 1. 25 days holiday (excl. bank holidays). Cycle to work scheme. AXA private healthcare. Pension Contribution.
