Key Care & Support are looking for a skilled and values-driven Team Leader for "Sammy", a 26-year-old man, to enable him to live a meaningful, active and fulfilling life while leading a staff team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support. Sammy has a great sense of pride in his appearance and a wide range of interests. He responds well to positive relationships, encouragement, and consistency. Sammy enjoys staying active, spending time in the community, and taking part in social activities such as live music events, discos, and karaoke nights.
As Team Leader, you will play a key role in both direct support and leadership. You will be responsible for developing and guiding the team to deliver support that is person-centred, proactive, and grounded in positive behaviour support (PBS) principles. This includes:
- Ensuring support is proactive, respectful, and focused on quality of life.
- Coaching and supporting staff to develop their skills and confidence.
- Ensuring a consistent and reflective approach.
- Supporting staff to understand why behaviours occur and respond in ways that reduce stress and promote well-being.
- Working collaboratively with Sammy's family and professionals.
You will support Sammy to develop skills, make choices, and have a strong voice in decisions about his life, routines, and activities. Sammy enjoys many activities, including swimming, karaoke, using swings and rocking chairs, jet washing the car, simple food preparation and baking, walks, visiting Barton Aerodrome, listening to music, visiting the Trafford Centre, visiting museums and galleries, cafés, walks on the beach, and watching TV.
The role is 40 hours a week - Monday to Friday.
