Key Care & Support are looking for a skilled and values- driven Team Leader for " Sammy " a 26 year old man to enable him to live a meaningful, active and fulfilling life, while leading a staff team to deliver high quality, person-centred support. Sammy has a great sense of pride in his appearance and a wide range of interests. He responds well to positive relationships, encouragement and consistency. Sammy enjoys staying active, spending time in the community and taking part in social activities such as live music events, discos and karaoke nights. As Team Leader you will pay a key role in both direct support and leadership. You will be responsible for developing and guiding the team to deliver support that is person- centred, proactive and grounded in positive behaviour support ( PBS) principles. This includes: Ensuring support is proactive, respectful and focused on quality of life. Coaching and supporting staff to develop their skills and confidence Ensuring a consistent and reflective approach Supporting staff to understand why behaviours occur and respond in ways that reduce stress and promote well-being working collaboratively with Sammy's family and professionals You will support Sammy to develop skills, make choices and have a strong voice in decisions about his life, routines and activities Sammy enjoys many activities, these include, swimming, karaoke,using swings and rocking chairs, jet washing the car, simple food preparation and baking, walks, visiting Barton Aerodrome, listening to music, visiting the Trafford centre, visiting museums and galleries and café's, walks on the beach and watching TV. We are looking for someone: Who is flexible to meet service needs- 40 Hours per week NVQ level 3 as a minimum Driver preferred as a car is available at all times Organised, able to lead a team, person centred, worked with people with behaviours that challenge service provision Worked in past with people with enhanced needs Can effectively work within a team, and support parents and other professionals with their involvement etc Very much a hands on approach Interested?
