Responsibilities include monitoring wellbeing, following care and support plans, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring safe, respectful practice at all times. Day Opportunities Support Workers collaborate with colleagues, families, and other professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality support. The role also involves contributing to a positive, inclusive environment that encourages confidence, interaction, and personal growth.
Qualifications
- Experience in support work or similar care roles, with a strong commitment to person-centred practice (Support Workers).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust and engage with people of diverse backgrounds (Communication, Interpersonal Skills).
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and safe working practices, with an ability to follow relevant policies and procedures (Safeguarding).
- Respectful, inclusive approach with an understanding of dignity, choice, and confidentiality in care settings.
- Willingness to undertake training and development; relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) are an advantage.
- Flexibility to meet service needs, including occasional evening or weekend work if required.
