We are recruiting on behalf of Harrogate Neighbours Housing Association for an experienced and confident Care Manager to lead the care team at Heath Lodge in Boroughbridge.

This hands-on leadership role is for someone who is passionate about delivering high standards of person-centred care and building a positive, motivated team culture. If you are a Deputy Manager from a Residential Home environment, this could be the ideal role for you.

As Care Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational management of care delivery within the home:

  • Leading, supervising and supporting senior carers, team leaders and care staff
  • Ensuring care is delivered in line with individual needs and care plans
  • Acting as a visible, hands-on leader, stepping into care delivery where needed
  • Conducting team meetings, supervisions and appraisals
  • Monitoring performance and implementing support or improvement plans
  • Overseeing care documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Supporting safe medication processes and staff competency
  • Assisting with rota planning to ensure fair and effective staffing coverage
  • Working collaboratively with catering, housekeeping and other departments
  • Managing concerns or complaints sensitively and professionally
  • Preparing reports for senior management
  • Participating in the on-call rota and supporting the team during emergencies

We are looking for an experienced care professional who can combine operational oversight with strong people leadership:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within the care sector
  • At least 3 years' supervisory experience at Deputy Manager level
  • Ideally Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding, compliance and regulatory standards
  • A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
  • Ongoing training and professional development
