We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Yorkshire-based engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for technical excellence, long-term client relationships and a collaborative culture. Due to continued growth and succession planning within the Leeds office, we are supporting the appointment of an Associate Civil Engineer to lead and develop a civil engineering team within a multi-disciplinary environment.
THE ROLE
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for both technical delivery and team management. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a civil engineering team and overseeing technical output
- Managing projects across drainage, highways, SuDS and flood risk
- Mentoring engineers working towards Chartership
- Managing fees, invoicing and financial performance
- Supporting bids, tenders and client engagement
- Playing an active role in the future growth of the Leeds office
You will work closely with Directors and Associates across the business, within a Chartered-led consultancy that values collaboration and professional judgement.
ABOUT YOU
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Chartered Engineer status (ICE or equivalent)
- Strong civil infrastructure consultancy experience
- Technical expertise in drainage, SuDS, flood risk and adoptable infrastructure
- Confidence leading, mentoring and developing teams
- A commercial and client-focused mindset
- Desire to progress into a longer-term senior leadership role
WHAT'S ON OFFER
Salary £65,000-£70,000 DOE
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service
