An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Analyst to join a leading company in the chemical industry. Based in Milton Keynes and working as a key member of the Production Team, the Quality Control Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and titration techniques along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct QC analysis of in process and finished product samples of manufactured products in line with specifications/methods.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the QC laboratory instrumentation required testing.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the department.
  • Calibration and maintenance of instruments.
  • Prepare lab reagents and standards in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Train operators on analytical methods and record appropriately.
  • Ensure all records, procedures and work instructions are appropriately maintained and filed.
  • Investigate manufactured non-conforming product and quality related customer complaints in line with internal procedures.

What They’re Looking For:

  • MUST HAVE: Degree-level knowledge in Chemistry or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • DESIRABLE: Knowledge of Quality Management standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 12776, and BRC.
  • Experience in the chemical or chemical distribution industry.
  • Experience working in a Food/Cosmetic FMC environment.
  • Experience conducting internal audits.
