We are looking to recruit an Operations Supervisor on behalf of our client in Elland. This role will suit someone with strong leadership skills and a background in operations, manufacturing or logistics, who thrives on ensuring safety, quality and performance standards are met.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse and laboratory operations including goods-in, sample processing, packing, dispatch and stock management.
  • Supervise and motivate operational teams, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and environmental regulations (including COSHH, COMAH and PPE).
  • Monitor workflows to ensure timely completion of client orders.
  • Act as the link between operational teams and senior management, providing regular progress updates.
  • Implement process improvements and drive continuous development across the site.

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Good IT literacy with the ability to manage workflow and reporting systems.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience with stock and order management systems.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations (COSHH, COMAH).
  • Background in chemical, manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
