Are you an experienced SEO professional looking for an opportunity to really specialise in search? We are recruiting on behalf of Hot House Digital, a specialist SEO agency focused entirely on organic search, covering traditional and AI search, website content and digital PR. Following a number of new client wins, they are looking for an experienced SEO Manager to join their growing team and help develop their search engine optimisation offering. This is a great opportunity to work with a varied national and international client base, ranging from established brands to exciting start-ups across B2B, B2C, lead generation and ecommerce.

As SEO Manager, you'll take ownership of SEO strategy and performance for a portfolio of clients, work closely with the wider search, content and digital PR teams, and manage and develop SEO Executives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading SEO strategy, development, analysis and performance across a portfolio of clients.
  • Owning client SEO strategies and ensuring their successful delivery.
  • Carrying out keyword research and implementing on-page optimisation.
  • Overseeing technical SEO, including Core Web Vitals and page load speed.
  • Developing and implementing traditional and AI search strategies.
  • Keeping up to date with Google algorithm changes, SEO best practice and emerging approaches to search.
  • Supporting Content and Digital PR teams with on-site and off-site strategies, following Google's EEAT guidelines.
  • Conducting competitor analysis and identifying opportunities to improve client performance.
  • Producing clear, concise and KPI-focused SEO reports.
  • Leading regular client status meetings, presentations and strategy discussions.
  • Communicating SEO advice and recommendations clearly to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Managing client relationships and accounts independently.
  • Line managing and developing SEO Executive(s).

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced SEO professional who is comfortable taking ownership of strategy, performance and client relationships. You'll ideally have:

  • Strong knowledge of traditional SEO and emerging AI search.
  • Experience developing and implementing on-site and off-site SEO strategies.
  • A solid understanding of technical SEO, HTML and site architecture.
  • Experience with enterprise-level SEO.
  • Strong keyword research, competitor analysis and reporting skills.
  • Experience managing SEO client accounts independently.
  • Confidence presenting strategies, results and recommendations to clients.
  • Proven experience line managing SEO Executives.
  • The ability to build strong internal relationships and proactively identify opportunities.
  • A genuine interest in continually developing your knowledge of SEO and AI search and sharing that knowledge with others.
  • Experience using tools including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Majestic, Screaming Frog and Google Analytics is important. Experience with ranking and search analytics tools such as Scrunch and STAT would also be beneficial.
  • You'll also be comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and platforms such as Slack and Trello.

Why Consider This SEO Manager Role?

If you're passionate about SEO and want to work somewhere where search is the specialism rather than simply one part of a wider digital marketing offering, this could be a great next step. You'll benefit from:

  • Salary of £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience.
  • Highly flexible working opportunities.
  • Hybrid working with office attendance in central Leeds every Thursday.
  • Funded training and development.
  • Paid overtime.
  • Your birthday off.
  • Two wellness days per year.
  • Loyalty holiday allowance.
  • A varied portfolio of national and international clients.
  • The opportunity to make your mark within a growing specialist agency.
  • Genuine scope to develop your career and potentially progress into a leadership role.
