Senior Design Engineer | We're looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering business developing innovative thermal management systems. Working as part of a small, highly skilled team, you'll take ownership of projects from initial concept through to prototyping, testing and final delivery. You'll have the freedom to take ownership, work directly with clients and suppliers, and help shape innovative products from day one. Genuine ownership of projects from concept to delivery Translating broad customer or project briefs into clear engineering requirements Producing detailed 3D CAD designs, engineering drawings and technical documentation Applying design-for-manufacture principles to develop practical, buildable solutions Planning and supporting prototype builds using a range of manufacturing methods Identifying root causes of technical issues and driving continuous product development Managing projects from concept through to delivery, proactively communicating progress and risks Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers, testing facilities and customers Presenting technical information, design reviews and project updates to stakeholders A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or a related discipline Experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Onshape or similar 5+ years experience post graduation and a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals Hands-on experience of prototyping, product development and testing Knowledge of engineering drawings, documentation and design standards Our full Privacy Policy is available at key-appointments.
