We are looking for a Procurement Lead to join a well-established and respected business based in Leeds City Centre. This is not a role where you simply maintain processes, it's a role where you improve them, challenge them, and bring new ways of thinking.
You'll play a key role in transforming how the supply chain operates, introducing smarter systems, improving visibility, and using data and technology to drive better decision-making across the business.
About The Company
You will be joining a well-established, family-run business in the heart of Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a premium British brand in the luxury fashion and interiors sector. Established in 1865, James Hare is Britain's leading silk specialist, producing luxury textiles for the international fashion and interiors markets. Still owned and managed by the Hare family, the business is known for quality, service, and its long-standing reputation with top designers and decorators worldwide.
The Role
This is a varied and fast-paced position where you'll take ownership of both procurement and sampling processes, ensuring everything is organised, accurate, and delivered on time. You will:
- Develop and implement advanced reporting using AI and digital tools
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data visibility
- Take ownership of international shipping processes, including Incoterms
- Work closely with senior leadership to provide commercial and operational insight
- Proactively recommend and implement improvements to systems and workflows
- Maintain high standards of organisation, accountability, and attention to detail
- Lead and optimise day-to-day supply chain and operational processes
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior supply chain or operations role
- Strong understanding of international trade and Incoterms
- Experience using AI tools or modern technology to enhance reporting and processes
- Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insight
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
What's On Offer
- Up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
- 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday / some flexibility around start / finish times
- 33 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with service (pro rata)
- Summer hours between 1st June and 31st August
- Discretionary bonus scheme
- City centre location, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and cinemas
- Railway station within 5 minutes' walk
- Complimentary gym passes
- Discount at a local coffee shop
- Staff product discount
- Parking rota
