We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Yorkshire-based engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for technical excellence, long-term client relationships and a collaborative culture. Due to continued growth and succession planning within the Leeds office, we are supporting the appointment of an Associate Civil Engineer to lead and develop a civil engineering team within a multi-disciplinary environment.

THE ROLE

  • This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for both technical delivery and team management.
  • Leading a civil engineering team and overseeing technical output.
  • Managing projects across drainage, highways, SuDS and flood risk.
  • Mentoring engineers working towards Chartership.
  • Managing fees, invoicing and financial performance.
  • Supporting bids, tenders and client engagement.
  • Playing an active role in the future growth of the Leeds office.

ABOUT YOU

  • Chartered Engineer status (ICE or equivalent).
  • Strong civil infrastructure consultancy experience.
  • Technical expertise in drainage, SuDS, flood risk and adoptable infrastructure.
  • Confidence leading, mentoring and developing teams.
  • A commercial and client-focused mindset.
  • Desire to progress into a longer-term senior leadership role.
