Installation and Service Technician – Midlands
We are looking to recruit a hands-on Installation and Service Engineer on behalf of our client – an established and growing business that provides technical solutions to a range of customers across the UK.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, travelling to different sites, and solving practical problems on the job.
If you have hands-on experience in an engineering, installation, or technical support role as well as a strong work ethic and great communication skills, this could be a fantastic opportunity.
General details:
- Location: Midlands-based (with extensive UK travel)
- Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The role involves:
- Installing and maintaining technical systems at customer sites across the UK
- Diagnosing faults, carry out repairs, and perform routine servicing
- Regularly stay away from home (overnight travel and expenses covered)
- Liaise with clients ranging from operational teams to senior stakeholders
- Safely handle and transport equipment, including items up to 100kg
Skills & Experience needed:
- Hands-on experience in an engineering, installation, or technical support role
- Midlands-based for easy access to sites across the UK
- Comfortable with frequent travel and overnight stays
- Experience using power tools and a practical, hands-on approach
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Friendly, professional manner and strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to pass police vetting (clean record required)
- Confidence working independently and managing your time effectively
