We are looking for a Community Navigation Coordinator on behalf of an award-winning organisation based in Harrogate. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Harrogate Neighbours busy Community Hub, combining people-focused work with organisation and coordination. You will play a key role in maintaining a Community Resource Directory, ensuring local services and support are accurate, accessible and up to date, while also supporting the day-to-day running of the Hub.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and updating the Community Resource Directory
- Building relationships with local organisations and gathering service information
- Ensuring information is organised and easy to access
- Sharing updates with volunteers to support effective signposting
- Welcoming visitors and supporting Hub activities and events
- Assisting with the running of the café space
- Supporting and guiding volunteers
- Signposting individuals to appropriate services
- Providing cover for the Hub Manager when required
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and community focused. You will have:
- Confident IT skills and strong organisation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, approachable and professional manner
- Experience in a community-based or similar environment
- Ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
Desirable:
- Experience managing databases or directories
- Knowledge of the Starbeck / Harrogate area
- Experience supporting individuals with wellbeing or social needs
