£14-£15.50 per hour based on experience (£28k-£30k full-time equivalent)
We are recruiting on behalf of an established SME within the engineering and manufacturing sector for a Stores and Workshop Assembly Technician. This part-time role is based in the workshop and focuses on goods in / goods out, stock control, and assembling of products to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time.

This forward thinking, family run engineering business provides solutions and engineering products to companies who manufacture commercial vehicles, as well as aftermarket customers requiring specialist spares. They offer a friendly, established working environment with a strong focus on quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.
THE ROLE
- Managing goods in and goods out, checking, booking in, and despatching stock
- Organising and maintaining stock locations in the stores and workshop
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for production and despatch
- Processing work orders, from pick and pack through to basic assembly
- Updating stock levels using IT-based stock and inventory systems
- Supporting production planning and highlighting any stock issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment
WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience in a Goods In / Goods Out, Manufacturing or Assembly role
- Confident using IT and stock-based systems
- Mechanical or automotive experience would be an advantage
- Forklift truck licence preferred but not essential
