Are you an experienced SEO professional looking for an opportunity to really specialise in search? We are recruiting on behalf of Hot House Digital, a specialist SEO agency focused entirely on organic search, covering traditional and AI search, website content and digital PR. Following a number of new client wins, they are looking for an experienced SEO Manager to join their growing team and help develop their search engine optimisation offering. This is a great opportunity to work with a varied national and international client base, ranging from established brands to exciting start-ups across B2B, B2C, lead generation and ecommerce.
As SEO Manager, you'll take ownership of SEO strategy and performance for a portfolio of clients, work closely with the wider search, content and digital PR teams, and manage and develop SEO Executives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading SEO strategy, development, analysis and performance across a portfolio of clients.
- Owning client SEO strategies and ensuring their successful delivery.
- Carrying out keyword research and implementing on-page optimisation.
- Overseeing technical SEO, including Core Web Vitals and page load speed.
- Developing and implementing traditional and AI search strategies.
- Keeping up to date with Google algorithm changes, SEO best practice and emerging approaches to search.
- Supporting Content and Digital PR teams with on-site and off-site strategies, following Google's EEAT guidelines.
- Conducting competitor analysis and identifying opportunities to improve client performance.
- Producing clear, concise and KPI-focused SEO reports.
- Leading regular client status meetings, presentations and strategy discussions.
- Communicating SEO advice and recommendations clearly to clients and other stakeholders.
- Managing client relationships and accounts independently.
- Line managing and developing SEO Executive(s).
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of traditional SEO and emerging AI search.
- Experience developing and implementing on-site and off-site SEO strategies.
- A solid understanding of technical SEO, HTML and site architecture.
- Experience with enterprise-level SEO.
- Strong keyword research, competitor analysis and reporting skills.
- Experience managing SEO client accounts independently.
- Confidence presenting strategies, results and recommendations to clients.
- Proven experience line managing SEO Executives.
- The ability to build strong internal relationships and proactively identify opportunities.
- A genuine interest in continually developing your knowledge of SEO and AI search and sharing that knowledge with others.
- Experience using tools including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Majestic, Screaming Frog and Google Analytics is important.
- Experience with ranking and search analytics tools such as Scrunch and STAT would also be beneficial.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and platforms such as Slack and Trello.
