Brick Kiln Place – Part-Time Team Leader (Extra Care Service)
As our service continues to grow and internal progression creates new opportunities, we are delighted to offer a rewarding role for an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader to join our dedicated team at Brick Kiln Place. This is a role where you will genuinely make a difference. You will support customers to live safely and independently in their own homes, while leading and inspiring a team committed to delivering exceptional care.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a positive role model, providing strong leadership, guidance and mentoring to the care team
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is consistently delivered in line with company policies and procedures
- Support customers with their individual care needs, helping them achieve the outcomes set out in their care plans
- Build effective, professional relationships with customers, families, carers and external professionals
- Contribute to customer reviews using your insight and experience to support the best possible outcomes
- Carry out staff observations, spot checks and mentoring for new and existing team members, offering constructive feedback
- Gather customer feedback and escalate concerns, compliments or issues to the manager
- Audit MAR charts and daily logs to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Regularly review customer files to ensure documentation is current, reporting any updates needed
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and uphold company values at all times
- Complete relevant training and refresher courses, particularly around medication best practice
- Support care calls when required, demonstrating a flexible, can-do approach
- Work every other weekend and participate in out-of-hours support (additional pay provided)
Qualifications & Skills
- Health & Social Care or QCF qualification preferred but not essential
- Ideally 12 months’ experience in a similar role (desirable, not essential)
- Flexibility to cover care calls when needed
