We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Maintenance Manager to take ownership of the safety, functionality and overall upkeep of this fantastic hotel. This is a key leadership role where you’ll ensure our property is always operating at its best, creating a safe, well-maintained environment that allows our teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience every day. This role reports directly to the Hotel Manager.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for leading all aspects of maintenance across the hotel, ensuring both reactive and planned works are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard. From day-to-day repairs to longer‑term improvements, you’ll take pride in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all maintenance requirements across the hotel
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance and routine testing of rooms and equipment
- Carrying out hands‑on maintenance tasks across carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating
- Coordinating external contractors for specialist works and major repairs
- Ensuring compliance with all safety standards, regulations and procedures
- Training team members on equipment use and maintenance procedures where required
- Responding quickly and effectively to maintenance issues and emergencies
- Driving a proactive approach to maintenance to prevent issues before they arise
About You
You’re a practical, solutions‑focused maintenance professional who takes pride in high standards and getting things done right first time. Calm under pressure and highly organised, you’re confident managing both planned work and unexpected issues, always keeping safety and guest experience front of mind. We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role within a similar environment
- Strong working knowledge across general trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, decorating)
- Understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance standards
- A proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high‑quality work
- The confidence to take ownership and make decisions
- The ability to build relationships with contractors and internal teams
