In this role, you will be the key operational link between our managers, employees and external payroll provider, supporting our Payroll and HR Admin Execs and liaising with the external payroll service to ensure the smooth processing of payroll for 2,000 employees. We are happy to consider flexible and part time hours for this role.
About the Role
You will lead the payroll function, ensuring robust controls, smooth monthly processing and a service that supports our hotels effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with our outsourced payroll provider to ensure smooth processing of monthly payroll
- Collating and validating payroll data before submission to the payroll bureau
- Acting as the payroll subject matter expert, resolving queries confidently and efficiently
- Participate in weekly processes such as timecards and processing of starters and leavers
- Ensuring the accuracy, compliance, governance, and timely delivery of payroll information.
- Auditing payroll processes, including NMW checks and right to work compliance.
- Supporting annual processes including pay reviews, PSA and Gender Pay Gap reporting
- Driving smarter systems, stronger controls and streamlined payroll procedures.
About You
You are analytical, organised and commercially aware, with a genuine enthusiasm for payroll. You combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills and take pride in delivering a seamless, compliant payroll service. We’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a multisite payroll role
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and tax procedures
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong Excel capability
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with operational leaders
