Overview
Our Kitchen Assistants focus on supporting kitchen team in creating positively memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and is part of a team based from our attractive hotel at Holiday Inn Leeds Garforth, LS25 1LH.
Responsibilities
- Dishwashing: All dishes ranging from pots and pans to cutlery are either hand washed or loaded into the dishwasher
- Delivery Organisation: As a Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for receiving deliveries and ensuring they are organised once in the kitchen
- Storage Management: Storage must be organised so that all ingredients are easily accessible
- Waste Removal: All waste bins are emptied, ensuring all waste is disposed of promptly
- Basic Food Preparation: When the kitchen is extremely busy, kitchen staff may ask you to support with basic food prep
- Material collection: If your Chefs need materials or ingredients, you will support by collecting them

What you’ll bring to the team
Due to spending a lot of time on your feet and unloading heavy deliveries you will need a good physical fitness. Efficiency in fast-paced environment and strong communication skills are key. You will be able to follow instructions and be adaptable to meet the needs of both company and guests.
